JUST IN: Oyo Govt Shuts Down Civil Service For 2 Weeks Over Coronavirus

Oyo state government has shut down the state civil service for two weeks over the coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The lockdown will kick off from Friday, March 27, the governor said.

This was made known in a tweet by the governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday.

Makinde, however, said only workers rendering essential services will be required to report for duty.

He said “The Oyo State civil service will shut down for two weeks from, Friday, March 27, 2020. Only workers rendering essential services will be required to report for duty.”
